The foreigner legally residing in Italy, owner of a residence permit or a residence permit, valid for employment, for self-employment, for family reasons, asylum, subsidiary protection, study or religious reasons, of not less than one year, can submit an application for clearance to family reunification for the following relatives:
- not legally separated spouse age
- unmarried minor children (including the spouse or born out of wedlock), provided that the other parent, if alive, has given its consent
- dependent adult children when, for objective reasons can not provide for their essential life needs because of their state of health leading to total disability
- dependent parents, if they have no other children in the country of origin or provenance, parents or over sixty, if other children are unable to support them documented for serious health reasons.
